Reviving the Art of Crafting

In 2014, founder Maelyn Hurley had a vision of bringing together local artisans to revive the art of crafting. She envisioned an event to showcase our local talented artisans, and a space where they could promote themselves and their products. What began as a small group of people set up in her living room has blossomed into a collective of more than 200 artisans with annual events. The Craft Revival has expanded and now includes up to 26 venues in the Waterfront District and Bay Algoma Neighbourhood.

The Craft Revival takes over downtown Port Arthur each spring and winter to bring our community together for much more than just a craft show-- think live painting, musicians and performers, aerial silks performances, pop-up cafe's and even a waffle bar. The community is encouraged to visit each unique venue to see all the different handcrafted products and enter their name to win beautiful door prizes supplied by all of the participating artisans. Add in a glass of wine or a tasty cocktail served at most of the venues, and you've got yourself a lovely day of shopping and entertainment!
